I Hope They Call Me on a Mission!

I am a primary teacher in my ward. So I get to hear the primary songs each week. It is one of my favorite parts of the calling! Any of you who know me know I am quite the emotional boob at times! Well, primary singing time is no different. I often find myself filling with tears either from the words in the songs or the cute little voices singing them. But most often when I think of my young boys singing these songs someday! Today we were working on the song "Called to Serve" and very different emotions filled my heart. The excitement of hopefully singing that song with my 19 year boys as they enter the MTC! With that excitement came sadness that they will leave me someday for two whole years! And back to back!!! I am going to be a wreck for 4 years straight! I know that nothing will make me happier than to be able to send my sons on missions one day, but for now I am just loving every minute with my little babies!!

Your boys are so darling! And Tara, your post made MY eyes fill up with tears, and I don't have any boys yet! Maybe my girls will go on a missions, but just the thought of saying goodbye, even for a good reason, makes me sad:( Good thing there's time for you to emotionally prepare for their missions.

I don't want my little boy to leave either!! The new picture of your boys is so cute with their church clothes! Rob loves when little boys wear dress clothes and ties.
Ya, I think we should do something like swimming soon!

How cute are those pics of your boys. And I never thought before that you will have to have two back to back missions with your boys. That would be hard! Cute post! Ok....lets hang out this week. I will call, I promise...but I think the boys need a play day!

What a wonderful mom you are!! Your boys are adorable! And you are right... just wait until your boys are actually singing those songs, it'll melt your heart every time. Emma is in sunbeams and I lead the singing in our ward, so I get to see and hear her. Some days it is hard to finish cause I either want to laugh cause she is just belting it out with all of her heart, or I want to cry cause I really think she understands the words sometimes!! Isn't it great what kids do to you!?!?! Take care! Ang
