Aiden's Newest Trick!

After watching my friend Kirstin's blog all the time of Damon riding his bike without training wheels, Aiden thought he was ready to try it himself! He asked Eric to take off his training wheels, so this last Tuesday he did and Aiden was pretty sure that he would be able to ride it right away! I was amazed at how quickly he got it! The first day if we held his seat until he got some speed, he could ride all over by himself! No major crashes! The next day I showed him how to push with his feet until he got enough speed to pedal. Now he starts, rides and stops all by himself! He's already finding little hills to ride over when he goes to the church parking lot! He is so proud of himself, everyone he sees he tells them about how he can ride his bike! I can't believe he's growing up so fast! Today a bike with no training wheels, tomorrow a drivers license! :(

Memorial Day

During my blogging hiatus I didn't blog about my Grandpa Kennard passing away, so I want to write about our trip to Logan to see his grave. Megan and I drove together with my boys in her car. (They love aunt Megan's car) We were almost there when Grady said "I'm sick I need to go to the doctor!" I think he was either getting car sick or just wanted to get out! He has learned when he doesn't feel good he asks to go to the doctor. So we got there and picked up some flowers for his grave and then went to the cemetery. His headstone just got put in and it looks great! I love that it is a standing one and that they can put the names of all their children on the back. My grandma wrote a beautiful poem that they put on the back as well. It's hard to think that I will never see him again in this life, but I know I will in the next! He was such a wonderful man who lived an amazing life and raised a beautiful family! I am so grateful to be in that family! And to know that we will be an eternal family! My grandpa served in the military when he was young so when we were at his burial site back in December they had a couple soldiers there and they were going to play taps but the trumpet didn't work, so on Monday we had my cousin Nathan play it. He did a great job, it made us all cry! It was great to be there with family remembering a wonderful man! After, we went to a park and ate lunch and the boys played with their cousins. It was a great day, we love and miss you Grandpa!

Aiden's first cavities filled!!

This happened a month or so ago but the video is so funny I had to post it! Aiden had two cavities and when we went to get them filled he had to take an oral sedative right before going in. The video is me and Aiden in the waiting room as it's beginning to kick in! He thought everything was so funny and couldn't stop from falling over! He also got laughing gas so he didn't struggle at all! It took ten minutes and he just sat in the chair smiling and laughing!! When we were leaving I had to carry him out because he couldn't walk yet and he said "I want to be silly again!" I guess he won't be aposed to cavity fillings in the future!

Cruise to Mexico!! 4/25/2010-5/1/2010

We just got back from a 6 day cruise to Mexico!! We went with some of Eric's friends from work and their wives! It was soooo much fun, and soooo relaxing! I really enjoyed getting to know everyone and we had some really good laughs! We stopped in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo. We got massages in Puerto and explored the resorts, and shopped, snorkeled and swam in Cabo! The boat was fun too, except the last day when the boat was rocking sooo bad half of us got sick and it was too windy to go outside. But the seasickness helped prepare us to want to go home! I missed my boys a lot but they had a great time at Grandma's! Thanks to my awesome family and Brooke for watching them the whole week! I probably gained 10 pounds and no longer know how to do housework, but it was well worth it!!Meet the "Cinco Amigos"! They walked around the whole boat like this, confusing most the passengers! They were asked to sing happy birthday to a few people around the pool!! People thought they worked for the cruise ship!!

The whole group!
Our ship the Norwegian Star
In Puerto Vallarta
In Cabo
One night at dinner!
The hot tub in our exclusive "Spa"
A beautiful ending to an awesome cruise!!

I'm Back!!

I know it's been a long time since I've posted, and I'm not going to try and back track either. We had a lot of fun in the last 6 months but I am starting from now. A couple weeks ago my "Twilighters" and I went to the New Moon DVD release! We pushed our way through an angry mob of old moms and grandmas to get to the front so we could get our DVD's signed! The actors of Mike, Angela, and Eric were there! They were really nice and funny and all three signed our DVD's! Since we were in the front of the line we didn't have to stick around until 2 am like last year, so we got home at a reasonable 1 am or so! I had tons of fun just being a groupie for the night! (Let's hope next year it's Taylor Lautner)

Aiden's 4th Birthday!!

I am late posting again! But Aiden's birthday was Sept. 28th and he turned 4! I still wake up and can't believe he is so old and becoming such a smart little boy! He's not a baby anymore! On the sunday before his birthday we had a party at my mom's house and had presents, cake, and ice cream. He got clothes and books and a game, and a spiderman costume for halloween (that he wants to wear everyday) but his favorite gift was a spiderman scooter from grandma and grandpa! He was riding it outside and said "this is my favorite present ever!" Then on his birthday that monday we had a party at the park with Gracie, (his cousin that was born the same day) and Eric's side of the family! The hit present of that party was the hair stuff Gracie got (princess straightner, curling iron, blow dryer) all the boys wanted to play hair stylist! He had lots of fun, his friends Damon and Austin came and gave him gifts! And grandma Debbie came from Ephraim and that always makes his day! Plus he got $30 cash in birthday cards! Now when he tells me he has money he's not lying! We all had a great time and love Aiden very much! He continues to surprise me with his sweet smart fun personality and I love being his mom! Love you Aiden!

Aiden still wearing his costume days later

The Circus is in Town!!

We got tickets to the circus a month or so ago because we thought it would be something fun to do for the boys birthdays! Aiden's birthday is on monday the 28th and Grady loves elephants so this is kindof for his birthday too! We didn't get there in time to go and pet the animals but we did get to the pre show and right when we got there they brought out two elephants and had one paint and kick a soccer ball and dunk a basketball! The boys were amazed!! Grady couldn't even talk he just stared! When they left he kept saying "bye, bye ephant" Aiden was amazed at all the tricks they could do! Then we went to our seats and watched the circus! They did really well through out but they were most amazed with the elephants and the tigers and the guys on the big wheel things! It was pretty cool all the tricks they did, they even made an elephant disappear! Grandma was too nice and bought them overly priced toys! Grady of course got an elephant (he has named it mumbo) and Aiden had to have the binaculars! They love their toys! We had a great time and I'm glad all of my family could come and enjoy it with us! I know the boys will never forget it!
